A WATCHER'S VIEW: PACQUIAO VS BRADLEY

In general:

Yesterday was a day for upset. Timothy Bradley defeated the 8-time world champion of the world and truly the “People’s Champ” Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao. But with the help of the “three blind mice”, Bradley dethroned the champion in a split-decision.

The Pacquiao-Bradley fight was considered as the biggest robbery ever happened in sports history. Pacquiao clearly won the fight (should have) Bradley was hurt early in the fight though he had his moments but for the many (including me) it is not enough to announce Bradley as “The NEW!” WBO Welterweight Champion of the World. Not even close. I’ve watched the fight and I scored the fight 8-4 in favor of the Pacman.

The fight was truly “disgraceful”, “unfathomable” and “robbery” as many claims and they are right. One of the three judges defended what he scored during the fight. Yet, his explanation was unacceptable, he said that Manny wins the early rounds but faded towards the late rounds and Bradley connected more compared to Pacman. Unacceptable, because the Compubox stats are opposing that statement showing figures way ahead of that of Bradley favouring Pacquiao. Including “Jabs” which Bradley is bragging of and thinking that his jabs (while backing or retreating against Pacquiao) made a difference therefore making him the winner.

Boxing is dead.  Skills, techniques, power, all of that is nothing compared to money. “The strongest man there is” in boxing is dead.  What really matters now is money, the bets.

I personally belief, that all of this was already “FIXED”. The only way Pacquiao will win that fight was to knockout Bradley, cold, like what he did to Hatton. I believe that Bradley already knew what the result will be if he reaches round twelve and just jabbing around. He was so confident because two weeks before the fight he already made a poster for their rematch. Something fishy is going on in the sport of boxing. As long there will be no mitigating measures about this rotting system in the sport, boxing will never be the same again. Boxing will be legitimately dead (Which for me is already is).

Message for PACQUIAO:

If a rematch is on the card and settled, knock Bradley out cold. Don’t leave “the three blind mice” scoring system outscored you again. After all, they are blind, blinded by money.

Message for BRADLEY:

If you are truly a man and worthy to be called a Champion, return the belt or vacant that championship belt or perhaps volunteer to call that bout a no contest. Because even you yourself, knows that you didn’t won the fight. You were clearly running away and avoiding to be hurt as what you’ve tasted in the early rounds. You’ve also said after the fight that you have tried everything but you can’t beat the man (Pacquiao).

 Being a Champion, is not just for your pleasure, it is for everybody. That’s why with your controversial victory over “The People’s Champ” you’ll never get the respect of the people as a champion. You will only get there criticisms and doubts. The belt you have now is a belt of a cheater, maybe not by you, but thru the judges or maybe the system itself. Bottom line, return what is not yours and you know what it is.

Message for NSCC:

Screen well your judges. Don’t wait that there will be no big fights or sports events that will be held in your state because of your “bet-based” scoring/judging system.

Expelled those three blind mice, especially Ford.

Message for WBO, etc.:

Change the system and perhaps try “the last man standing rule”. With the current system, boxers are just satisfied with the jab and out, jab and out to gain points no matter how boring it is. I call it “Coward-boxing system”. If you can’t do the last man standing rule, then just try to fix the scoring system cause it’s killing the sports.

Lastly, for the boxing fans all around the world you know who really won the fight and it ain’t TIMOTHY BRADLEY” period.
