Old PacMan is Back despite loss to JuanMa Marquez

Despite Manny Pacquiao loss to Juan Manuel Marquez via 6th round KO, Manny Pacquiao able to lived to his promise. Before the fight, Pacman promised to be aggressive and bring back the old Pacquiao in him and that he did.

Since round 1, he was the one putting on the pressure to Marquez until that knockdown in round 3. After that there he was again like he was back in his mid 20's pounding and broking Marquez's nose. He even sent  Marquez in the canvass in round 5. After this round, everything seems to be another sure win by Pacquiao either it is via decision or most likely to be a referee stoppage due to Pacquiao's battering results on Marquez. But this didn't happen, as he saw blood on Marquez's face dripping which was a result of Marquez's broken nose, Pacman became confident and thought Marquez could have  lasted only for another one or two rounds.

But he became overconfident and forgot his defense, and he paid for it.

Nevertheless, Pacquiao still got that aggressiveness and explosiveness. Retirement?, for me what happen was another page in boxing history but the books of boxing for Pacman has a lot of pages to write on.
I believe Pacquiao can still do it.

He is still in his prime. Yes, he loss, but it was thru a one-punch knockout. This happens a lot in boxing. Any boxer could have experienced it. He was not battered at all during the bout, in fact he dominated Marquez and battered him.

What happen last fight was, he made a huge mistake due to over confidence and too much aggressiveness and he knows this.

Pacquiao can and still fight.

Old Manny Pacquiao is back!

Pacquiao's a Winner in 6th Round KO Loss Against Marquez

After a shocking and devastating loss to 8-year rival Juan Manuel Marquez via 6th round KO, Pacquiao won the hearts and admiration of many. Pacquiao accepted defeat in gracious passion and showed everyone how it is done as a true sportman. He even cited his mistakes during the bout and criticized himself as overconfident that led to his KO loss.

As a fan of the sport, my admiration and respect to Pacquiao went up another level. He is a true champion, both winning and losing moments of his career. Hats off to a great champion named Manny Pacquiao.

Whatever step he'll make after this, nothing will change. His status in the sport of boxing is rock solid.

As for Marquez, let us give credit where credit is due. He trains hard, he's a very intelligent fighter and he knew Pacquiao very well. But even his trainer was surprised about the outcome of the fight, he was surprised of the power that Marquez possessed. Marquez in his career was never known as a power puncher he has always been a strategic and thinking fighter that will send you to the canvass thru accumulative punches. but in this case, he has that questionable power at age of 39. Hopefully he had beaten Pacquiao fair and square, without using any PEDs. Which we can't get out of our mind due to the presence of Mr. Heredia in his corner, which has been notorious in giving PEDs to his athlete clients.

for now, until there is no evidence relating to Marquez using PEDs, we're happy for you.
But winning with suspicions surrounding that pride you have now is not good, and will never be good just like what happen to Bradley.
That's why if you know that Mr. Heredia gives you "something" that contributes to your "instant-one-punch-power", you should never raised your head uphigh.
But anyway, congrats and a job well done.

The Unbelievable Power of Marquez

Pacquiao-Marquez IV was in the books and the characters on it was written by Juan Manuel Marquez by knocking 8-division world champion and boxing icon Manny Pacquiao via 6 round knockout.

Where did Marquez got his power?...at age 39, Marquez is an aging fighter..how did he do it?.

During their first three fights, Marquez didn't floored Pacquiao even he hit him with good shots but he was sent to the canvass by Pacquiao 4 times...so where did he get his power in their fourth fight?.

"Unbelievable" was the first word that came into my mind when Marquez floored Pacquioa in the final second of the 6th round...
With the power Marquez brought to the fight he made Manny look an ordinary fighter. Made Manny's strong chin to a weak one.

So where do you think Marquez got his power?....Unbelievable power...was it thru is conditioning coach Hernandez that has a reputation when it comes to PED?...

If this is a possibility and proven, everything will end up "unbelievably unfair" for the boxing world.

HARD FOULS OF EXTRA-RICE INCORPORATED

BELGA and QUINAHAN composed the so-called "EXTRA RICE INCORPORATED" of the Governor's Cup Titlist RAIN OR SHINE ELASTO PAINTERS.
This two big men of ROS are effective intimidating-factor in the paint. Yung mga katawan nila ay parang mga battle tanks that can demolish almost everything who wants to penetrate in the paint. As what their motto says, "ANG BUMANGGA, GIBA!" and indeed it is for this two big fella.

At first, BELGA and QUINAHAN, was unknown para sakin. May mga naririnig na ako but they're not on my radar of interest. Not until they reached the finals of Governors' Cup against BMEG Llamados (now,SAN MIG COFFEE MIXERS). During the seven game series, may napansin ako sa dalawang 'to. Aside sa malapad nilang pangangatawan, napansin ko kung gaano sila ka dumi maglaro. Giving hard fouls that are not necessary, especially BEAU BELGA. His most notorious of giving hard fouls during the series. I just told myself, "hey it's duty foul and it't the Finals".

Pero ni-review ko ang past games nang ROS thru YOUTUBE, and found out na sadyang madumi maglaro ang EXTRA-RICE INCORPORATED. Lalo na si BEAU BELGA. I even concluded na "pwede to si BELGA sa RUGBY kasama sa VOLCANOES para mahanap nya katapat nang angas niya."

Yesterday, during the PBA's triple-header treat, ROS took on the MERALCO BOLTS led by Cliff Hodge (a rookie). During their game, the nasty and dirty fouling tactic of EXTRA-RICE INCORPORATED strikes again. Whacking and victimizing the rookies, especially Cliff Hodge. Is this the way they welcome a rookie in the league?.

Fouling with intentions may get too far. This may lead to a career-ending injuries, which hopefully may not happen. Ang gusto ko lang po'ng ipaabot kay Commissioner, please review fouls that are intentionally done.

THE BEAST UNLEASHED

CALVIN JAMES ABUEVA a.k.a "The Beast".
Critics thought that he'll never bring his dominance in the NCAA to the PBA.
Are they right?
Let me break it down for you.

The Beast in NCAA.

  • vs CSB: 23 points, 23 rebounds & 6 assists
  • vs Perpetual: 15 points, 15 rebounds & 11 assists.
  • vs Lyceum: 16 points, 23 rebounds, 10 assists & 4 blocks.
  • vs EAC: 29 points, 18 rebounds & 7 assists.
  • vs San Beda: 21 points, 21 rebounds & 9 assists.
  • vs CSB: 17 points, 13 rebounds & 13 assists.
  • vs Mapua: 21 points, 20 rebounds, 10 assists & 3 blocks.
  • vs JRU: 26 points, 20 rebounds & 4 assists.
  • vs Perpetual: 19 points, 17 rebounds & 7 assists.
  • vs San Beda: 23 points, 16 rebounds & 3 assists.

Above are stats that are rarely achieved by a 6'1" player. These stats are just part of his league-record 16 double-double's and 4 triple-double's in NCAA. The Beast took NCAA by storm leading on scoring and rebounding. The only downside of Abueva's NCAA career are his turnover per game that in one season he averaged a league-high 5.6 TO and him being hot tempered which led him to trouble most of the time.

The Beast in PBA D-League.

Though already a prospect for the PBA Draft but he chooses to enter PBA D-League. He played with the talent-laden NLEX WARRIORS and helped the franchise to achieve Grandslam Champions by winning the 3 straight championship titles.

The Beast in PBA.

Drafted 2nd overall pick by the Alaska Aces in the 2012 PBA Draft. Expectations were high and critics ready to attack. Unfortunately, he was not able to play for the Aces in three outings due to his duty for his Alma Mater.
In his debut, which the PBA world highly anticipated, he directly made his statement through his game statistics.
Against the Petron Blaze Boosters, He immediately delivered 12 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in just 27 minutes of play. His beast-mode type of play continues up to their last game against the most popular team in the league, the Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel whom they defeated by 18-point difference.

Bottomline.

Are the critics right?...I don't think so.

MBA + MVP = FILIPINO DEVOTION

This is my second time writing about MBA (Metropolitan Basketball Association) related blog.
But this time, sinasama ko ang isang tao na very respected and tinitingala nang lahat.
I’m talking about Mr. Manny “MVP” Pangilinan, as his monicker says, he’s indeed a valuable person not just in the business world but also in the sport of basketball. Recently the good MVP bids for the hosting of FIBA-Asia Cup for 2013 tournament but unfortunately napunta to sa Lebanon.
On the other hand, MBA was a very promising professional basketball league pero hindi lang to manage nang maayos. This league ran for 8 years and changed its name until it was defunct. The concept of the league was based on the elite league of NBA.

Looking at MVP and his participation in the sport of basketball, there’s a great chance of having a league that is NBA-caliber type of players, teams and management as well.
League that has teams representing different cities in the country and thru this will bring back the flare of loyalty and devotion of every Filipino basketball enthusiast.
A league that is closer to the people and yung ligang mismo ang tao ang kusang lalapit para mkainvolve and show their loyalty to their respective teams.

Cagayan de Oro Nuggets
Manila Metrostars
Cebu Gems
Negros Slashers

These are only some of the teams that participated MBA.

Tulad nang;

Batangas Barako Bulls
Nueva Ecija ElastoPainters
Cebu Alaska Aces
Manila SMC Mixers
Cagayan de Oro Ginebra Kings

Sir MVP, suggestion lang po’to. Sana po mai-consider niyo and suggestion nang isang basketball enthusiast living in Mindanao and doesn’t have the opportunity to watch professional basketball league regularly. At minsan po napapa-isip na bakit ako magus-support nang todo2x sa isang PBA team e di naman ako may-ari or nagtatrabaho sa company na ‘yun.

Look at peoples' devotion during MBA's time.

Pacman vs Dinamita, A Brief Review

Come December 8, 2012 a fourth fight between Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Juan Manuel “Dinamita” Marquez. The world’s number one pound-for-pound boxer against Mexico’s modern warrior and considered to be the only boxer that gives headache to Pacman due to his counter-punching style.

The Review:
Pacman and Dinamita fought each other for three times, with those 3 outings, Pacquiao has a 2-0-1 while Marquez has a 0-2-1 win-loss-draw record.
Marquez has always been vocal in expressing his dismay in those 3 bouts with Pacquiao and believing that he won all of those 3 fights.  Now, let me help you in refreshing up their passed bouts and decide if Marquez was right.

Pacquiao vs Marquez I (May, 2004)

Marquez started this bout cold and dropped on the canvas by Pacquiao for 3 times. Marquez’s recovery skill was impressive and went to finish the 12-round bout thru his effective counter-punching skill and forces a Draw. Scorecard read as 115-110 for Marquez, 115-110 for Pacquiao and one Judge of the bout scored it 115-115 thus making it a draw. But later on, the Judge admitted that he had an error in scoring the first round “10-7” instead of the standard “10-6” for a 3 knockdown in one round. This would have made Pacquiao a winner by Split-decision. In contrast to this, Marquez believed that he had done enough to win the fight.

Pacquiao vs Marquez II (November, 2007)

This bout was defined by the knockdown that happened in round 3. Marquez was sent to the canvas by Pacquiao, which became the deciding factor to announced Pacquiao as the winner of the bout thru a split-decisioin win. Though Compubox slightly favoured Marquez, but Pacman’s power that was manifested during round three (knockdown) and ten (staggered Marquez) was enough for the Judges to pull-out a win. But again, Marquez was complaining that he won the fight and that he was robbed but this time some members of the press agrees with him.

Pacquiao vs Marquez III (November, 2011)

The third bout of Pacquiao-Marquez rivalry was another controversial fight in the book.
Pacquiao won via majority-decision. As Pacquiao was announced boos were heard from the audience and more audible during Max Kellerman post-fight interview with Pacquiao. . The crowd believed that Marquez got robbed and should have won the bout but the Compubox tells another story favoring Pacman by a notable margin. In this fight, the “step on foot” technique of Marquez which he used to Pacquiao were also obvious thus some believes causes Pacquiao’s immobility Marquez, for the third time, complains and asking for another fight with Pacquiao.

Though he never expected and was surprised, Marquez's request was granted by Pacquiao. A fourth fight that will happen December of 2012.
Both fighters promises a KO win and will not let the fight goes to the Judges hands.

Could this be a more definitive bout or another controversial?
Could this be their last bout?
Will Pacquiao shut down Dinamita? Or will Dinamita explodes and KO’s Pacquiao?

Come December 8, 2012…for both men…it’s now or never.

MY POV: PACQUIAO vs MARQUEZ IV

Pacquiao vs Marquez IV fight is on. For the fourth time the fellows from the Philippines and Mexico will faceeach other again. For their first three fights, Pacquiao edges Marquez with a 2-1-0-1 (W-L-KO-D) records. The two losses that Marquez acquired from Pacquiao, he was always complains of a robbery which ironically Pacquioa suffered from the "paper champion" Bradley.
Now, on their fourth fight, Marquez projected a win over his nemesis.
Did Pacquiao made a good choice of choosing Marquez as his next opponent?

My point of view follows;

Though Pacquiao has nothing left to prove in the boxing world with his achievements with in the sport.
I think Pacquiao is taking a risk.
Marquez has the technique (aside from stepping on Pacman's foot) to beat Pacquiao.
A rematch with Bradley has sense than fighting a man who you have beaten 2 times (should have been thrice).
Marquez maybe older but he has still the sting to pin Pacman down.
Pacquiao on the other hand, he may not admit it but his age is catching up with him.
His agility is not the same as what he has before.

Bottomline:

Pacquiao at his stage right now...

has a career route of....

"Fight Mayweather, if match-up will not materialize then it's time to hang the gloves."

He has nothing left to prove.

He had done enough for the sport and for the Philippines.

A Delegate From Palau

Tuna Festival is an annual event in General Santos City. There is different happenings during this festival like float parade, mall shows and the likes. There is also an event called "National Tuna Congress" and it is on its 14th year.
I have joined the event.
This is my first time to join the said event.
I arrived early in Family Country Hotel and Convention Center  in General Santos City. I think it was almost eight in the morning of September 6, 2012,Thursday. I went to the center of the event hall and saw this guy wearing a tropical-themed polo shirt that are commonly seen in Hawaii or some island.
I approached the guy and attempted to start up a conversion with him thru visayan dialect
and I asked him, "Wala pa d i nagsugod? (Hasn't it started yet?)".
The guy smiled and answered in a different dialect and asking me, "Where you from?"
Stunned and wondering but I managed to answer and stated my name and the company I'm working in.
He followed up and said "What do you do?"
I answered him the nature of my work and got his attention.
Because he sees my field of work as unique and interesting which coincidentally had a similarity with his nephews work back at his place.
But while we were having our conversation, I was still wondering why this guy is speaking English.
Physically he looks like a Filipino, that's I why for a minute I got to think that this guy is just foolin' me or this is just a guy who is simple looking yet a very rich Filipino.
Anyway, we just continued our conversation thru asking questions to each other.
As people are coming in to the event area, I've observed that members of the organizers of the event keep on approaching him and seems that they knew him for so long.
Even the government officials of the city of General Santos approached him and to no surprise knew him also.
But I already got a hint that this guy is special, when he told me "Stick with me and i'll introduce you to different people in the event".
As the event was about to start, he said " Let's have a sit".
Then we did, we sat together and still had a conversation and joked once in a while.
Then the Emcee was doing her thing and introducing different guests.
Including a delegate from Palua named
Congressman Celestine Yangilmau.
Then the guy sitting beside me raised his hand acknowledging the announcement done by the Master of Ceremony.
I secretly looked at him and told myself, "All morning long I was talking and having joke with a Congressman in a different country?!?".
All day we where together, he brought me with him during lunch that supposedly only involves VIP's.
During this VIP lunch sponsored by a government agency, the people who are in the lunch session thought that I was a part of Palau delegation because me and the Congressman was inseparable.
I was even included in the Token that was given to the Congressman.
That time the good Congressman told me that I'm a part of his delegation now..and both of us laugh.
At the welcome dinner, we went together to the venue with another companion in the persona of Mr. Raul Gonzales, a business man.
We had a couple of drinks and after that, we called it a night.
Mr. Raul Gonzales drive us to our respective places.

Congressman Celestine Yangilmau, hats off to this politician. He is a down to earth person.
I have never encountered such type of politician like him here in the Philippines. Even in my province, I haven't approached a politician like the way I did to him.
He was funny...game and a "cowboy" type of person. He has a practical mentality too, which is very obvious through the way he deliberate his idea.

To the people of Palau, specifically in Sonsorol, you are very lucky to have a lawmaker in the person of the good Congressman Celestine Yangilmau.

I salute you for being true.

Thank you for being part of your "delegation" here in General Santos.

See you soon Honorable Congressman Celestine Yangilmau.

Hopefully I could visit in your place...soon.

In God's will.

THE TRADE: Fullhouse for the ACES, KINGS losses.

“Lieutenant” L.A Tenorio has been re-ranked to “GINeral”.

Yes, after 5-team monster deal involving Barangay Ginebra, Alaska Aces, Petron Blazers, Barako Bulls and the busiest team in the trading block Globalport Batang Pier, Tenorio who was once considered a GINKINGS killer now a GINKING himself.

The trade went this way:
Alaska Aces
Acquired -------------- JVee Casio (Globalport)/Dondon Hontiveros (Petron)
Losses ------------------ Wesley Gonzales/Hans Thiele
GlobalPort Batang Pier
Acquired -------------- Willie Miller (Barako)/2014 1st round pick (Ginebra)
Losses ----------------- JVee Casio
Barako Bull
Acquired -------------- Enrico Villanueva (Ginebra)
Losses ----------------- Willie Miller
Petron Blazers
Acquired -------------- Hans Thiele, Wesley Gonzales (Aces)
Losses ----------------- Dondon Hontiveros
Brgy. Ginebra
Acquired -------------- L.A Tenorio (Aces)
Losses ----------------- Enrico Villanueva, 2014 1st round and 2015 2nd round picks

Among the teams involved who do you think gained the most?

One article that I have read says that Alaska Aces won the trade activity.

Let’s do comparison between Alaska Aces and Ginebra Kings who placed number 1 and 2 respectively on the survey that I had read.

Perhaps it is true, since Ginebra Kings needed heights not guards. They have already Jayjay Helterbrand who according to rumor is now 100% percent physical fit to play.
They also have The Spark, though aging, still plays like in his mid 20’s and he can bring the ball down.

Labagala and Cortez are also guards.

What the GINKINGS really need at present is a LEGITIMATE center. As of GINKINGS’ present rooster, Eric Menk is the only legit center unfortunately his not healthy. There are rumors the he’ll be playing at the PBA D-league for recovery purposes and has been offered a coaching job which means his not 100% healthy. The rest of GINKINGS’ centers are undersized for the position like Billy Mamaril, Rudy Hatfiel (plays center, sometimes) Kerby Raymundo is not really a center-type of player his more efficient in the forward position. Another point, the tallest height when it comes to stats in the GINKINGS’ rooster is 6’6”.

Compared to Alaska Aces’ situation, though they have traded the "Lieutenant" they got JVee Casio and the sweet-shooting veteran Dondon Hontiveros in return.
Released their franchise player yet gained two players. One is still on his A game and the other  is a young guard that could still serve the Aces for years.
Center-position status?... They’ve got Ervin Sotto, Sam Emman and Sonny Thoss who are legitimate centers.

ACES Full house!
GIN KINGS...another card for "CENTER" hunting.
ALL IN?...

A Wasted Basketball League

It was 1998,  the year that I had just finished my 6th grade. There was a professional basketball league in the Philippines called Metropolitan Basketball Association or MBA. The teams  represents a city, province or island not a product or business company.

Fourteen years after, I surfed the net for some images that will help me for some photo editing and among the images that were loaded was the MBA logo (seen on the left side).
Then I told myself, "Sayang to...".

This league has potentials of being a basketball league in the country that has a magnitude of an NBA type of league. The league brought basketball closer to the people because their respective places were represented as a team. The league also contributes to tourism of a certain province or city. Since, the beautiful scenery or tourist spot were featured during breaktime of the leagues' broadcast.

The league was broadcast by a powerhouse company ABS-CBN. That made MBA reached the people and its supporter easily with its broadcasting capability.

MBA made noise that even PBA players transferred to MBA which gave players higher salaries.

PBA superstars were also rumored about joining an MBA team. Some of them did just that.

Everything seems good until year 2002 when ABS-CBN withdrew funding for the league. Then everything fell apart.

What happen to MBA? some said that it was not well managed. Some said that the expenses was really high that its very hard to maintain.
Whatever reason there was, MBA is a wasted basketball league. In fact, it is a great basketball league that was defunct.

PBA is also a good league, with its 37 years of existence and history nobody will question it. Especially now that it is reviving, people are more involve which is evident in its increased of income and all that. In fact, I'm a PBA supporter and a B-MEG fan (now SANMIG COFFEE MIXERS).

PBA teams represents companies, the league should be called PRODUCT BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION instead of PHILIPPINE BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION.

I have nothing against PBA.

I think there should be a system revamp (some sort of it..) of the league since it is called PHILIPPINE BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION then stand for it.

People in provinces don't even care about PBA, the reasons?...

1.-They don't own the company that the team represents, why bother.
2.-They are not living in a place called BARANGAY GINEBRA or BARAKO BULL.
3.-I'd rather support NBA teams since we have a relative in CHICAGO.

I love PBA. I guess if the management of PBA today was handling MBA before, I think it was a success it will not defunct.

PBA Management/Supporters + MBA type of teams/idea = NBA type of league in the PHILIPPINES.

Can you imagine the impact...the supporters...the market. BOOOM!..

Yes, the market will increased..because there will be more people involved..people that are living in areas or places that the teams will be representing.

GOOD for BASKETBALL
GOOD for PBA
GOOD for TOURISM
GOOD for BUSINESS/MARKET

most of all

GOOD for the PEOPLE!

GILAS PILIPINAS: PUSONG PINOY!

The recently concluded 34th JONES CUP was a success. Especially for us Filipinos.
The Smart Gilas Team Pilipinas V.2.0 won the tournament by a come-from-behind win against the enormous and athletic team of USA. Yes...you read it right, against United States of America.

All tournament long, Team Pilipinas battled with a huge heart. Though the team is not blessed with height and athleticism but were fortunate because of the team's will to win and the huge heart.
Members of the team are all Pro players in the Philippines but no one of the members ever named Most Valuable Player in the PBA. During Team Pilipinas' last game against USA, one member of the team played like an MVP and eventually became one. Louis Albert "L.A." Tenorio also known as the Lieutenant scored 20 points, 18 of which he scored on the second half most of it in the 4th quarter were the team needed it most.

Lack of height and athleticism didn't blocked L.A's will to win. Instead, he uses his heart to pull off a game winning 2-pointer perimeter jump shot with Douhtit's screening to help him free from defender.

As the time whines' down, USA had a single attempt but didn't went in...BOOM!
Team Pilipinas WIN!

The heart of a Filipino once again shown during the 34the JONES CUP.
Most of the time we see this characteristics in boxing matches especially when Pacquiao's Fighting.
But this time, we have seen it in a different sport, different personas' the best thing is we have seen it in a TEAM.

In a basketball team...called..

SMART GILAS TEAM PILIPINAS!

KUDOS!

FIBA ASIA...Witness the hearts of the SMART GILAS TEAM PILIPINAS!

Witness the hearts of the FILIPINOS!

BASKETBALL ADDICTION

Basketball, a sport formulated by Dr. James Naismith that today became one of the famous sports in whole wide world.
When we talked about basketball a name rises to the discussion and it is Michael Jordan.
The man said to be the greatest player ever worn a pair of shoes on the basketball court.

In the Philippines, basketball is more than just a sport...it's a religion.
A religion in a sense, that every street in the country has a basketball court...even in the street's most
hidden alley has one.
Every Filipino knows how to play it even a 5 year old kid knows it. Every Filipino basketball enthusiast
dreams of being a professional basketball player. Unfortunately, when every raise was blessed with enormous heights like Americans the Filipinos were absent. Hence, dreaming to be in the pro is like reaching for the stars. So for those, talented yet limited in height they still exile in basketball leagues like Barangay cups, or even to provincial leagues but that's how far an ordinary player could get (not all, look at the Flying A!).

Since I'm a below average player (humble effect..hahaha)...It's hard for me to reach that far. Still I love the sport..why I love it?...
Well..funny thing is, despite the fact that I'm going know where with this sport..when I'm playing it..it give me hope that I'll still be able to reach Pro..nah!..

Seriously, basketball is my medicine for every stress that I would encounter outside the court. Stresses that relates to my field of work, family and the likes.

Every weekend afternoon all I'm waiting is when the time points at 3, when this happen it's ball time!.
by the time I'm suiting up for the game, goodbye problems!...goodbye stress!...Hello happiness!...Hakuna Matata!.

To be continue...

My Friend's Secret Part II

Temptation is very strong opponent to overpower, yet my friend passed its first test.
This time around, temptation strikes back and hoping to bring down my friend.
As I'm encoding this article, my friend has a new job. New office, new field of work, new workmates new ambiance, everything is new. My friend is a "just go with the flow" type of person, he's used in adjusting in his environment, easily. I remembered when he was a new comer in our basketball club, it was his first day with us and in the same day he easily gathered new friends and mingled with us like a veteran in a group. That's how easy he blends in an environment.
He is now happy with his family and coping up with the lapses he had done in the past and doing everything to make his family feel his love. But temptation strikes for the second time around, he has an office mate that has strikingly beautiful face (according to him) but this time this girl he's talking about is a spoiled-brat-but-cute type of girl.
As of now, my friend is fighting with temptation and resisting the beauty that his workmate brings.
"Fight it off!" I told him during our conversation.
"I'm fighting it" he replied.
"Good!" I said.
"I'm fighting it,but I'm contented looking at her beautiful face..hehehe" he said with a joke.
I told him " You better get that off! before it's too late!"
"I will Godfather" he jokingly told me.
I know that my friend loves his family so much. I know that he will fight temptation and resist whatever it is that is needed to be resisted. But we know what the devil can do, he'll do everything to bring down happiness in this world.

My Friend's Secret

One day, me and my friend had a drinking session. We started it with a simple talks and jokes.
As he got drunk, not me, I'm a high-dosage type of drinker.
He asked me to listen to him, and I said "sure!, what is it?" then he replied
"I've got a secret to tell ya".
I replied "don't tell me your gay!" then we both laugh.
               "Your crazy!" he said.
Then  he got serious, then he started his story, perhaps confession.
My friend had an affair with his ex-workmate.
First, they were good friends, sharing ideas, and laughter. According to him, the girl was very beautiful, white, long hair, but what he like  most was the girls attitude because she was the type of girl that is very easy to go along with. Though they were wealthy (but not a millionaire type) she's very simple. Sadly, the girl was married. She has kids but her figure doesn't look like one.
The friendship continues and it evolves.
There was one occasion that my friend would have attended (if this girl did not came into his life) but he chooses not to and instead, he went to worked because he knew that the girl will be working  that day and that day was Saturday, meaning, it's overtime. Just the two of them in their workplace and that's the only time that my friend was waiting, so that he can confess his feelings toward a married woman. To his surprised, during their conversation, the girl also confessed that she also likes my friend. Boom! This is the beginning of the sin that my friend never thought of happening and involving him.
Though they never committed a serious relationship during that time, their friendship continues and as time passed, they never realized that there friendship went deeper to mutual understanding to lovers. They keep on denying to themselves what they have for each other but the feelings haunts them. Without them knowing it there something is happening.
"I'll just play along with this feeling" my friend told himself.
"I do not love him!, he is just my friend. All of this is just for our friendship!" The married girl wanted to believe.
Unfortunately, they were wrong. Their feelings' went further until both of them committed sins that wasn't supposed to happen. They slept together. The married girl always visits my friend every Saturday, and if she has free time after work she will drop by to my friends house to spend time with him.
Their denial relationship went to a serious one. Serious enough that the married woman would think of leaving her family just to be with my friend. My friend was serious enough too that he will leave everything for the girl.
The married woman wanted a commitment from my from my friend and so is my friend. They were playing tug-of-war but both of them held on, no one wanted to let go. Until conscience strike, the married woman cries to stopped this nonsense.
"Let's stop this!, If you want to continue our relationship, then let it be but as friend." the woman said.
But my friend was foolishly in-love with the married woman and said
"Why are you doing this to me?, Why you've let me love you this far? in the end leaving me!".
"You've promised!" my friend added. Referring to the promises they've made when they were together spending happy moments. They'd promised to each other that nobody will let go, but it's impossible.
"I love you!but were not meant for each other!I am a committed woman! and so you are!" the woman said.
Yes, you read it right that my friend is also committed as a Father to his son, and a Husband to his partner. Though unwed, but they're together with constant communication and living together. But, more often than not, problems and quarrels always strikes in their relationship.
"If only you have arrived in my life earlier!I would have chosen you as my husband!" the woman added.
Though, flattered but my friend outburst and asked. "Then come with me!".
The woman stopped and said " I loved to but it can't be. I love you!but we must stop. All of this are wrong. We could still continue our friendship if you we want to. I want it that way."
"The situation you wanted will not be easy. It'll just hurt me time to time." my friend replied.
"If you want this to stop, then let us stop this. You've wasted my sacrifices and you've our promises, you've wasted everything!" He added.
Then their relationship gone cold.
The two of them decided to be with each others family, cover up for their mistakes and spend the rest of their life with their respective family.
Though their are times that my friend is still thinking about that married woman especially their happy moments, he said that he is happy now.
A mistake is a mistake, the only time we can do is forgetting it, not doing it again and covering it up by making up for those who got hurt during those sin-filled days. Lastly, asked forgiveness which is the only thing that my friend have not done yet. Though, through action and deeds he have already shown it.

At present my friend is living with his family and happy.

To be continue...

MY DAY

As I woke up this morning, everything was okay.
As I prepared for work my wife and I had a disagreement for something.
I didn't had my breakfast or even drink a coffee that was prepared by my wife when we were okay earlier this morning.
I leave home without saying goodbye or doing my usual routine of kissing and hugging with my son and wife as I leave for work.
As I arrived in the office, ambiance was same as usual.
Sat on my chair and turned on my laptop and surf for news.
As of 10:12am, office is okay. Jokes and laughter filled the reception area.
My workmate called a food chain and ordered foods for lunch as a treat because she received her monetary commission.
Another workmate of mine (she's on leave) drop by the office when she heard that a comrade of ours is treating us.
"So far, so good" That's the right phrase to describe whats happening in our workplace right now. the question is, what will happen next with me and my wife's quarrel?
Even though I'm behind my sales target and have some issue with my former colleagues. Considering all of it everthing so far, so good.
This afternoon, at 1 pm. I'll be going to a mall to attend World Food Expo, hunting for clients that will patch up my sales negativity.
Hopefully, everything will be right and okay not just today but everyday of my entire life.

Leaders' Characteristics

Everyone of us belongs to a group. In every group, has a leader and every leader has a different characteristics towards his/her followers or members.

Simple Type – This type of leader is the modest of all. Leader in this type is more of a listener. She/he will listen to his comrades before deciding. But this leader, more often than not is an achiever, and very competitive. This leader will top everybody without everybody noticing that she/he is leading in any race there would be.
Negative Part: This leader lets her/his pen does the damage.
Military type – This type of leader is the most straight-forward one. If you have done something wrong, expect a disciplinary action whether it is “black on white” or verbally implemented. This leader has a strong personality, always abides “The Law” and observes good conduct. The “pwede nay an!” or “bahala na!” attitude is a big NO-NO! with this leader. This leader always seeks for perfection and the word “flaws” never existed in this leader’s vocabulary.
Negative Part: Never think of people that surround him while reprimanding subordinates.
Career – Oriented – This is a one man show type of leader. She/he will do or get everything that may get her/him up to the top. Trainings, seminars, name it this leader has it.
Negative Part: Never thinks of his/her subordinates career chances.
Force of Power – Now, this is challenging, this type is the POWER, and RULER to be exaggerated the GOD of the clan. No one dares to challenge this leader, try challenging this leader and you’ll get what you ask for. This leader is “the always right” type. This never listens to minions’ suggestions or ideas, only this leader is allowed in every right there would be in a group.
Negative Part: The only attack coming from this leader’s gofers is from behind.
Silent/Easy-going type – Here is the most dangerous type of all leaders. Lady Gaga’s Poker Face song is these leaders favourite song. Leaders in this bracket are dangerous considering that they are also the most observant of all. Silent type may seem one but actually they’re not. There so much activity in their as you speak infront of them, they’re reading your intentions and even gestures. You they’re okay or even liked you as you turn around but think again you’re wrong. A day after your conversation, rumors will roam around according to the silent-type leader’s perception that the latter relayed to co-leaders. May be your asking, how about the easy-going type? Still they are not safe. That could be there tactics to know who you really are. It is one way of evaluating their followers.
Negative Part: They’re unpredictable that’s why their followers’ loyalty is questionable.

Where does your leader belong?...how about your boss?
