FACEBOOK and MISINTERPRETATION

In our present generation, technologies gave us assistance in our everyday work and helps relationship build and strengthen. For instance, the invention of cellular phone or commonly known as “cellphone”. But perhaps, the greatest discovery of all is the World Wide Web, also known as the internet. This introduced sites like Google, Yahoo and Facebook.
Facebook is a social network type of website, which is the most popular today. So popular that millions signed in for an account and eventually became part of their everyday routine, but for some, addiction.  In fact, medical sector consider FB addiction a disorder. This routine mentioned earlier involves updating status, sharing ideas, playing games such as Tetris, and more.
Some find Facebook beneficial, because they can view or even know the status of their respective friends or relatives, regardless the distance. Through Facebook, distance is no longer a factor, sharing thoughts even far away from a relationship is a breeze.
But are we aware of its negative effects?
Facebook, truly can defy distance and build relationship stronger, but it has also a contradict effect.
Example of this are misunderstood comments, wall posts, ideas and the likes. The output of your idea can be misread and misinterpretation occurs, because words don’t show feelings.  Especially when it comes to jokes, most of the time jokes are double meaning, if you put it in words some readers will consider or think of it as grin or plain joke.  One thing, word also does not show situations. It can’t be assumed that the situation or imagination when you are reading a wall post or status is actually the same with the profile owner when she/he keyed that post or idea.
These examples are just few of possible negative effects of FB. Imagine this misinterpretation, misunderstanding (whatever you call it) happens to you and a person which you are in a relationship with is the one who misread your post or comment, worst is, all who is in your friends’ list misunderstood all of your comments and hated, cursed you. Disaster! Right?...Can you defend yourself? Can you take it back? The answer is a big “NO-NO”. Because people who are viewing and reading your comments only read the words you typed and think /judges base on those words. Intelligent readers read written ideas or comments “between the lines” and not the lines itself. Unfortunately, intelligent readers rarely exist.
Through this, trusts and relationships will be affected and eventually vanish. Like?
Poke yourself and think again, Facebook or conventional type of communication with friends?
Yes, indeed, “Facebook is viral”. The interpretation is up to you.
Who am I?...a victim of misinterpreted posts, friends vanished.
My solution?...deactivated FB account, I’m not urging you to do the same. But again, it’s up to you on how to interpret this article of mine.
